Five-year NFL veteran J.D. Walton is in his first season as the Giants’ starting center. Justin Daniel Walton was raised in North Texas and was an All-America center at Baylor University. In 2010, he was a third-round draft choice of the Denver Broncos, for whom he started the first 38 games of his career (including two postseason games). But in the fourth game of the season, Walton suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle that forced him to miss the rest of that season and the following year as well. He signed with the Giants on March 13 and has been the team’s starting center since his arrival.
